ABOUT ME

The creative force behind Little One Productions, Carrie Cavins, has been a resident of Houston, TX for over a decade and a half where she has been deeply involved in the theatrical and commercial lighting design scenes. Having produced theatrical lighting designs for companies such as Main Street Theatre, Classical Theatre Co., Prague Shakespeare Co., and Opera Vista, she has garnered glowing reviews for productions of Powder Her Face, Richard III, and Henry V.

Carrie started out acting in high school and community theater, which influenced her college career and exposed her to theater design. Carrie holds a B.A. in Theater Design from the University of Tulsa and an M.F.A. in Theater Lighting Design from California State University, Long Beach. During her time in California, she designed many of the shows presented by the university as well as for the university repertory theatre, California Repertory Company. Her design career has taken her across the United States for opera work with the Skylight Theatre in Milwaukee, WI and even overseas for several Shakespearean productions.

Her lighting design experience extends to commercial and residential design, which utilizes her love of theatre lighting to create unique architectural lighting designs in commercial and residential applications. As a result of this exposure, she has extensive experience using various software programs to aid in design applications. Several of Carrie's commercial and residential designs can be found across the Houston region.
